"Even if you were to do that and extract more oil and gas, that would still be sold on the international market, you would still be on the fossil fuel rollercoaster," Ward said.
"The question is do we import that oil and gas from other countries, like Norway, or do we drill it ourselves in the North Sea?” Philp responded.
