The House of Lords has again supported a proposal to ban under-16s in the UK from social media platforms.

Speaking on BBC Two’s Politics Live, Conservative peer Lord Nash, who led the calls for a ban, said, “we need to make sure these products are safe before our children use them.”

Non-affiliated peer Baroness Fox disagreed, saying, “I’m not suggesting no intervention, I’m suggesting adults intervening. I’m suggesting the state intervening is dangerous.”
