CBS All Access has rebranded as the streaming service Paramount Plus, but is it worth the hype?
There’s a ton of streaming services, and when you thought there couldn’t be anymore, they just keep coming! Paramount Pictures and its parent company, ViacomCBS, are the latest to shake up the streaming industry. They’ve announced the rebranding of CBS All Access and they named it Paramount Plus. Viacom owns a lot of channels like MTV, BET, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and more. Now that Viacom and CBS have merged, Paramount Plus has exclusive rights to your favorite shows from those networks.
The streaming service will feature TV shows, movies, and exclusive content in every genre. They’re bringing back some cartoon favs from the early 2000’s, and they shared a sneak peek of the upcoming Rugrats reboot on Twitter.
And it doesn’t stop there! Paramount Plus will have a package of all of the CBS news and sports broadcasts, and MTV is reviving a lot of old shows for the platform. It’s been confirmed that Behind The Music, Yo! MTV Raps, and MTV Unplugged and all slate to return, and they even teased a reunion special with the original cast of The Real World. And thanks to Epix, there will be exclusive movies made available on the app. Plus Paramount’s blockbuster movies will be made available on the app.
