Oprah Winfrey recently sat down with the most talked about couple of 2018 - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. This exclusive interview was the talk of the nation before it even aired! When the interview was announced, reports came to the UK press that Meghan Markle was a bully to her royal advisors. A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess clapped back calling this a “calculated smear campaign”.

In the Oprah interview, Meghan said the Firm was “perpetuating falsehoods about her”.

Here's what the press has said about Meghan Markle since the beginning.

As we know, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, got married in 2018, but when they were dating, the UK press was not having it. An article at the time read, “Harry’s hottie, Meghan Markle, comes from one of the city’s roughest suburbs famed for its gangland wars. And the royal’s possible future mother-in-law still lives in Crenshaw, surrounded by bloodbath, robberies, and drug induced violence.”

People have noticed the difference in how they’re being reported about Meghan Markle and her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. After Meghan and Harry were married, a UK publication put out the headline, “How Meghan Markle’s flowers may have put Princess Charlotte’s life at risk.” They went on to say that the Lily of the Valley flowers she used might be toxic if ingested. Funny thing is, other royals have used the exact same flower, yet they weren’t accused of nearly killing children.
