8:18Now PlayingAfter the main public event, some of the reenactors from the 951st Anniversary of the Battle of Hastings decided to have a bit of fun with their own 'tactical' event. At least, that's what they would call it in the WW2 hobby, not sure about the Medievalists!
This means that while there were some groundrules in place for combat, the result of the engagement was not scripted to planned out as it was during the narrative-driven public event. Whichever side won these little skirmishes would do so by its own merit and strength of arms! Because of this we get an image which is far closer to the reality than the one we received during the 'real' reenactment- a combat far more hectic and fastmoving.
