as posted by the channelThe Supreme Court just handed gun owners a major 6–3 win in **Wolford v. Lopez**.
Hawaii passed a law that treated your concealed carry permit like it disappeared the second you stepped onto private property open to the public.
Gas stations.
Grocery stores.
Restaurants.
Parking lots.
Unless the property owner gave you permission first, your legally carried firearm became illegal.
In other words, Hawaii turned every doorway into a trap.
They left your carry permit legal on paper, then made it practically useless in real life.
The Supreme Court saw through it.
Justice Alito said Hawaii’s law “hobbles” the Second Amendment right to carry arms for self-defense as Americans go about their daily lives.
And this ruling doesn’t just matter for Hawaii.
New York, New Jersey, Maryland, California, and other anti-gun states have pushed similar workarounds after Bruen — giving people a carry right on paper while trying to erase it everywhere they’d actually use it.
The Court just flipped the default back:
You can carry unless the property owner says no.
That is a real win.
But don’t get comfortable. These states are already looking for the next workaround.
They lost this one.
