1:16Now PlayingIn 1995, Jeanne Hesselschwerdt disappeared while hiking in Yosemite National Park. She and her boyfriend split onto different trails, and that was the last time anyone saw her alive.
When she didn’t return, a massive search began. Dogs couldn’t track her scent. It was as if she’d vanished into thin air. Months later, fishermen spotted a body floating down a Yosemite creek. It was Jeanne.
But here’s the problem: her body was found three miles from where she disappeared, in terrain considered inaccessible to amateur hikers. Park officials even stated the creek was too clogged with debris for water to carry her there. No one could explain how she ended up in that location.
Then came the strangest theory:
Multiple hikers in Yosemite have reported seeing something massive in the sky — not a UFO, but a large winged creature resembling a pterodactyl. In Mysteries at the National Parks, researcher Jonathan Whitcomb suggested that a creature slipping through time may have carried Jeanne and dropped her into the remote area where she was found.
