0:31Now PlayingPresident Trump said Friday he did not like that former President Bill Clinton was being deposed as part of the House Oversight Committee's investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.
"I don't like seeing him deposed, but, you know, they certainly went after me a lot more than that," he told reporters before departing the White House for a trip to Texas. "I like him and I don't like seeing him deposed."
The president also said he would not object if the committee asked to speak with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, who visited Mr. Epstein's island years after the financier's conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor.
"Howard would go in and do whatever he has to say," President Trump said. "He's an innocent guy, doing a good job."
