YouTube Description
as posted by the channelCommerce Secretary Howard Lutnick arrived on Capitol Hill Wednesday for a closed-door interview with the House Oversight Committee over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
The secretary — who previously led a Manhattan-based financial services firm — had long maintained that he cut all ties with Mr. Epstein in 2005, but recently admitted to having contact well beyond that following the release of the Epstein files.
In February, he told a Senate panel that he and his family had lunch with Mr. Epstein on the disgraced financier’s private island in 2012, years after Mr. Epstein pleaded guilty to sex crimes.
“I have nothing to hide — absolutely nothing,” he told the committee, saying that he neither participated in nor witnessed any inappropriate behavior.
