While working as an electrician in 2007, Elie Denny herniated a disc in his spine. Soon after, he underwent a surgery to correct the problem, but it actually made him worse. Elie was left with severe nerve pain in his lower back, which made standing and walking very painful.
Medical experts said that he would never be able to stand up straight or walk without pain again. One day, one of Elie’s nephews heard about a Gospel crusade coming to town. Elie and his family decided to attend, arriving eight hours early. Their sacrifice paid off.
He shared, “During the meeting, I felt something happen in my back and in my legs. In that moment, I had so much faith. I dropped my walking stick. I stood up straight and just walked.” Elie experienced a powerful touch of the Holy Spirit and was totally healed. “It was one of the most amazing moments of my life.” Elie’s family could not believe it. The doctors said that he would never be able to stand up straight or walk again, but now he can stand straight, walk and even run without pain! Jesus touched Elie and changed his life. His family is so happy now. That is what Jesus does, bringing hope to the hopeless.
