- Article Review - NY Times - Have We Been Thinking About ADHD All Wrong?:
Paul Tough has been widely criticized his April 2025 NYTimes Magazine article "Have We Been Thinking About A.D.H.D. All Wrong?" He laments that findings from ADHD research haven't fully penetrated clinical treatment and popular understanding of ADHD, but then spends most of the article attacking the research world and making illogical assumptions about mental and physical health conditions. Much of which serves to obscure two of his larger, and valid points, that ADHD exists along a spectrum, and that environmental factors shape who develops ADHD.
- Sleep Monitoring - Is it Worth it?:
Commercially available sleep monitors usually measure heart rate and activity, and extrapolate from those to estimate what sleep state an individual is in. They're most useful for comparing your own night's sleep to previous nights, because they are often inaccurate in assessing what state you're actually in at any moment. Excessive worry about sleep can also interfere with sleep.
