YouTube Description
as posted by the channelSometimes it really is as simple as following the money. A new report has revealed that Democratic Senator Joe Manchin has received money from a Fox News political action committee that is mainly funded by Rupert Murdoch and his son Lachlan, the CEO of Fox. The donation is relatively small, but it shows that Manchin has no qualms at all about taking money from "the bad guys." Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Sometimes, if you want to find out why a politician is so horrible, it really is as simple as the old adage follow the money. And now that we're getting second quarter campaign finance disclosures, we're getting a pretty good picture as to why Joe Manchin is as horrible as he is. Turns out on June 27th, Joe Manchin received a rather small, let's be honest donation of $1,500 from the Fox news political action committee, which according to reports is essentially funded by Rupert Murdoch. The owner of Fox Laughlin Murdoch, the CEO of Fox and other Fox executives. They have basically set up this political action committee so they can funnel money to politicians that they like. And of course, Joe Manchin got some money too. Now, again, we're talking about 1500 bucks, okay? That's not a ton of money. It's not like he got 500,000 from him, but whether it's $1 or $1 million, this helps to show us that Joe Manchin isn't picky, Joe Manchin. Isn't one of those individuals in Congress that has a conscience and says, no, no thanks. I'm not taking money from your evil media empire. Instead Joe says, oh,
Don't mind if it knew who, who, and that
Shows you, who he is as a person, in addition to the Fox Corp pack, he also took money from Pfizer Johnson and Johnson T-Mobile at and T Warner media, Honeywell, FedEx, basically all of the corporations, uh, that have done horrible things or that lobby for horrible things. Joe Manchin is a corporate puppet. And that is what we are learning from all of these financial disclosures. Now, those of us who've been in this game for a long time. And unfortunately I have been doing this for closer to two decades. At this point, we know this, we have gone through Joe mansions campaign donors election cycle after election cycle, after election cycle. But Joe Manchin has never received the attention, the nationwide attention that he is receiving right now. And that's why these financial disclosures, these donor disclosures might be more important than ever because people are finally starting to pay attention to the guy because he is one of the individuals that is almost single-handedly holding up any kind of meaningful legislation.
And that also tells us why these corporations, including the Fox pack, keep giving Joe Manchin money. In the case of Fox, they understand that if Democrats are able to pass things, if they're able to do anything, that's good for the American public. Like the stimulus earlier this year, the Democrats managed to get past. They know that that's bad for Republicans, same thing with the ProAct, the, for the act, these things that have overwhelmed, the infrastructure package is another great example. Things that have this, you know, broad, uh, bipartisan support out there in America, Joe mansion is essentially through this corporate money being paid to make sure those things never become a reality. So the next one, this time, the next time you hear Joe Manchin speak, or you see a headline with Manchin says, this is unrealistic. Just remember this, those aren't his words, because he's not smart enough to come off with his own words. Those are the words of Fox news. Those are the words of the us chamber of commerce. Those are the words of corporate America coming out of the mouth of Joe mansion. And he's doing it to protect the status quo, to make sure that nothing fundamentally changes.
Even if Democrats are in charge, that's
How Joe Manchin gets paid
And he wouldn't have it any other way.
