Republican Representative Madison Cawthorn has somehow managed to unveil a Republican agenda that is even worse than what Senator Rick Scott put out earlier this week. Cawthorn's new "Contract With America" would effectively kill Social Security in order to force elderly Americans to get back into the workforce, while also allowing for more child labor and 7-day workweeks. Republican representative Madison Cawthorn has unveiled what he is calling his new contract with America. And it's a horrible contract that nobody should sign onto because basically what it says is that you're going to work every day for the rest of your life with absolutely no reprieve whatsoever. And for those young pups out there up and comers, you know, children, don't worry. We're gonna put some of you to work as well. But one of the biggest problems, obviously with Madison Cawthorn new contract with America is that it would effectively eliminate social security in order to, as he puts it, incentivize senior citizens to get back out there in the workforce, right? Because that's the American dream, right? Nobody wants to retire comfortably. No, we wanna work until the day we die. We wanna drop dead at work. If we can, you know, just to show our commitment to capitalism here in the us, right? We gotta feed the machine. We are nothing but cogs use us as you wish. Uh, increased working. Uh, I don't wanna say leniencies, but I guess loosening rules, regulating child labor, which could put younger children back to work here at the United States. Um, it would basically Institute seven day work weeks, no retirement for senior citizens. Uh, but by the way, it does call for cutting government spending by a third of what it is, or two, a third of what it is, uh, in less than 10 years. So the government's not gonna be there to help you. We're gonna kill a bunch of regulations that are designed to keep people from dying at work. And if you do die at work, it's because we've taken away your social security and your ability to retire. And you're just being a loyal employee dropping dead as a Walmart greeter. Apparently how sick is this? Right. Okay. Look. Earlier this week we had Republican Senator, Rick Scott unveil his agenda for the Republican party, which was downright terrible, especially because it increased taxes on low income Americans. Like he's literally running on a tax increase, even though he's not up for reelection this year, he's telling Republicans go out there and say, you're gonna raise their taxes. Yeah. Um, good luck with that. We've seen politicians in the, a pass to it. It didn't work out well.

And then Madison Cothran comes along and says, Hey, hold up, hold up, Rick Scott, I can outdo ya. What if we make people work literally from the cradle to the grave, right? Because again, isn't that everybody's dream just all day, every day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, 366 on leap years working nonstop, no breaks coming from a man who works a couple hours, three days a week as a member of Congress. Now, to me, that's the real irony here, right? You're a member of Congress. We know y'all, aren't up there every day, every week pulling these Allnighters you work a couple days a week for a couple hours every now and then you have late night sessions. Ooh, but y'all get like months off at a time. And you're coming up here pretty soon on your Easter sabbatical, which is gonna be what, at least two weeks you got near a month off around Christmas time. You take all of August off every year and various breaks and vacations in between. Then not to mention Monday and Friday. Usually there's not holding session because those are travel days for members of Congress. Cuz God forbid, they travel on the week, weekend on their own time. So yeah, you don't get to lecture people and you don't get to basically dictate that they have to work forever. When you get to enjoy a more than $170,000 a year salary for working a couple hours a week.
