5:09Now PlayingEven a stopped clock is correct twice a day, and that appears to be an apt description of what happened during a recent conversation with Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene. The two, along with Seb Gorka, mocked people like Dan Crenshaw for their over-the-top political ads. Crenshaw's ads are certainly cringeworthy, but the Republicans take the cake for creating the worst ads imaginable. Farron Cousins discusses this.

Well folks, apparently it is true what they say about a stopped clock being right, twice a day, because Marjorie Taylor green and Matt Gaetz together were both correct about how ridiculous Republican political ads have become during a recent conversation with Sebastian Gorka of all people. The two Republican lawmakers, not only talked about the ridiculousness of these ads, but also specifically, even a little bit reluctantly though, for Matt gates called out Dan Crenshaw for his absolutely ridiculous and bizarre propaganda videos. Take a look at what the two had to say here. It is
Some of these political ads that we see out there. They're they look so cartoonish, like all of them. I mean like a Creche. I mean, I, I, wasn't talking about CRE. I was talking about just like performance ones, where they had like, they jump outta helicopters and they shoot the CRE I'm like, you watch the whole whole thing. And you're like, I don't know a single person. This would vote this. They would vote for or against.
My favorite part of that really is Matt gates. Not wanting to say Dan Crenshaw, but Marjorie Taylor green, just like, oh, Dan Crenshaw, Dan Crenshaw. Absolutely. It's Dan Crenshaw. And Matt gates was like, well, I'm not, I'm not saying Dan Crenshaw. And then he really describes Dan Crenshaw's videos. He's like, dude, I know you're friends with him, but just call him out. Be like, Hey, these propaganda videos that you put out, which is exactly what they are by the way, cuz they're not necessarily political ads. It's just trying to show how cool and strong he is by acting like he's a member of the Avengers jumping outta helicopters, repelling into buildings. Yeah, we get it. You're a big tough dude. Right? So just say his name, Matt, like he knows, you're talking about him, Marjorie Taylor greed already spilled the beans. You're describing his videos perfectly, but you refuse to be like, oh yeah, it's Dan gr.
So the reason by the way that Marjorie Taylor green is so keen on calling out Crenshaw is because you'll remember a couple months ago, Dan Crenshaw actually called out people like Marjorie Taylor green. The people who came to office have done absolutely nothing whatsoever, but have certainly made a name for themselves by effectively doing absolutely nothing whatsoever. So Crenshaw was right, of course, to call those people out and they're right to call him out, but let's not act for a second. Like Dan Crenshaw's ads and propaganda videos are out of the norm for the Republican party these days, right? They post videos of themselves, you know, with their AR 15 rifles out there shooting targets, tending that they're Democrats pretending that they're issues that they're shooting down the ads are absolutely ridiculous. And to be fair, Democrats have had some weird ads recently too. I don't know if you've seen the one with the individual running against Lauren BBER in Colorado that has literal falling from the sky saying that that is what Lauren Bobert has brought to Colorado.
I mean, it's, it's not wrong, but you know, it's a little intense to have that imagery of actual, actual, extra falling from the sky and landing on buildings and people and children, little little out there. Sure. But effective. I, I don't even know. I can't even say yes or no. Political ads have gone insane because political ads have always been insane. You know, this is not even a new like television era phenomenon. Political ads have always, always been over the top. Absolutely exaggerating the worst qualities of their opponents exaggerating what are perceived to be the best qualities of the candidate. They've always been ridiculous. We're just seeing them more and more now because they're being shared on social media of 'em obviously back in the day, somebody living where I do in Florida's first district, we're not gonna see anything from candidates from all over the country, but now we do right. We see it on Twitter. We see it on YouTube. We see it on Facebook. So we are experiencing more ridiculousness than ever before, but only be cuz we have access to all of it. Had we had this 15, 20, 50, a hundred years ago. It still would've been absolutely horrendous then just as it's co
