5:08Now PlayingEven though she has been out of the political spotlight for many years, and as she vies for a spot on the GOP ticket for a special election to fill a House seat from Alaska, Sarah Palin says that she would seriously consider being Trump's running mate in 2024, if he were to ask her. She says that no such conversations have taken place, but we all knew she wouldn't pass up the opportunity to be relevant again. Farron Cousins discusses this desperate plea for attention.

So Sarah Palin hasn't even secured a nomination in this special election that she is running for in the state of Alaska to fill the seat vacated by Don young when he passed away. But even still, even though she has not secured the Republican nomination, she already has her eyes on a bigger prize. And that prize, apparently according to a recent interview, she did with a local news station up in Alaska is actually the vice presidency. Yes. You heard that right. Folks, Sarah Palin has not given up on her dream of being vice president of the United States. And when asked by the interview, you, or if she would consider being Trump's running mate, she said, absolutely. I'd consider it. If, of course he runs again in 2024. So what she's doing there in that interview is effectively throwing her hat into the ring, letting Donald Trump know with a wink and a nod that, Hey, you need somebody, ah, here I, I am right, I've done it before.
I know how to run for vice president. You just don't know how to win, but that's, I guess neither here nor there. So the real motivation comes out. There is a reason why Sarah Palin decided to run for the house of representatives. And it's because she's already thinking about a higher office. She figures, Hey, at this point, look, the public's a hell of a lot dumber than they were back in 2008. Maybe I've got a shot now. I'm certainly not as crazy as some of these other people out there, like your Marjorie Taylor greens or your Matt gates and Lauren bobbers. I mean, let's be honest. That's the one thing Palin has going for her as she was in oh eight and as bad as she has been since then, she still doesn't even hit the same level of crazy as this new crop of what I like to call the Maga caucus.
I mean, she looks almost sane compared to these individuals almost, almost, not quite, almost, but she's already throwing her hat out there saying, Hey Donald, if you need a running mate for 2024, cuz we all know you're not picking Mike Pence again, here I am. And another point of interest here, she, she did mention that, you know, she has nothing left to lose because you know, all of her kids except for trig who is now in middle school or out of the house, doesn't have a husband anymore. They divorced uh, uh, 20, 20. I believe it was following a hell of a lot of very public family drama that I don't even wanna get into here. If you haven't heard about that, you should look it up. It's pretty disturbing what happened there. But uh, she's like, yeah, I got nothing. Why not? She literally said I got nothing to lose.
You have a son in middle school. You're you are a single parent, Sarah. And you're like, ah, I got nothing to lose it. Trigs over here. Like what, what, like what, what about your kid, Sarah? Did you forget about him? Did you forget that that's still a child? You have to take care of. She doesn't care. She absolutely doesn't care. She wants that higher office. She feels that I, I think almost at this point, like she's entitle it. She's not, she's an idiot. And luckily based on recent reports, a lot of the folks in Alaska happen to think she's not just an idiot, but an embarrassment. I talked about that over at ring of fire earlier this week that a lot of Alaskan voters view her mainly as a quitter, right? She was elected to job for four years. She quit halfway through as governor of Alaska.
And then of course they say she's an embarrassment, right? She went from being governor to vice presidential candidate to reality TV show star to reality show guest because her own reality shows she couldn't carry it. So now she's just a guest on reality show as every now and then a contestant. That's how pathetic Sarah Palin has become. That's how far her rising star has now fallen. Her 15 minutes of fame expired back in 2008. The fact that any of these people still give her any kind of audience is, is absolutely ridiculous. She is running by the way against 48 other people for that seat in Alaska. That's a lot of folks.
