Matt Gaetz Threatens To Throw Massive Temper Tantrum To Punish Republicans

Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz is threatening to throw a temper tantrum that could cripple the GOP when they retake Congress in January. Gaetz is furious that Kevin McCarthy is on track (kind of) to become Speaker of the House, and Gaetz wants his friend Jim Jordan to hold that position. When my youngest son was born, he was an exceptionally colicky baby for about the first six months. Neither my wife nor myself were able to sleep for more than about two hours at a time, because he would wake up screaming hungry, not hungry, didn't matter. He would wake up screaming. But Matt Gates hasn't really said what he does want. At one point he did suggest that maybe Jim Jordan should take that, but he's not even really pushing that. All he's mad about is that he doesn't want Kevin McCarthy to be the speaker. He doesn't know who he wants. I guess maybe Jim Jordan, but just as long as it's not Kevin McCarthy. So he's gathered up a gaggle of four other MAGA freaks to threaten McCarthy's speakership. So here's what he told Lou Dobbs last week about the Gates Gang of five. The true question is whether or not Republicans will get into the posture of realizing that this is a process of elimination exercise, or if we're going to begin our term in the majority unable to elect a speaker. And I've gotta tell you, Lou, that could be a very real possibility. We could go to the floor. No person could be able to achieve 218 votes, and we might have to work that out for a while. And it might not be easy, and it might not be quick. He then said, um, he doesn't want to have a bunch of hand ringing in bedwetting about whether it's going to take us two weeks or two months to figure it out.

Okay? But you're the one doing the bedwetting right now. You are the one throwing a tantrum because you don't want McCarthy, but you also don't know what you want. Now, again, he has suggested Jim Jordan, so maybe that's the path he's still on. He hasn't mentioned that recently as far as I've seen. But you're throwing a tantrum, you're threatening to throw the Republican majority into total chaos because you are not getting your way. And that, of course, as we've discussed in the past, has created a rift between Matt Gates and Marjorie Taylor Green, the former best buddies. Now in a bitter feud, apparently, because Green has struck a deal with McCarthy, he has basically agreed to give her whatever the hell she wants, put her on whatever committee she wants. She can investigate

Whoever she wants as long as she supports him for house speaker. And she went along with it. Gates has attacked that and said that, oh, the first opportunity, he'll turn on her faster than a space laser, of course, referring to Green's old comment. So he took a low blow there or delivered a low blow there, I should say. But Gates is creating all these enemies and creating all these problems. Why? There is no clear answer. That's the best part about this. He truly is that colicky infant that is crying in the middle of the night for no reason. You just got fed, you just had a nap. You have no reason to be upset. So why are you crying, Matt? That is what us, the parents, the people in your district wanna know What is your problem? Are you wet? Do you need to be changed? I mean, you're the one who brought up the bedwetting, so you know, I'm just throwing it out there as a possibility. But whatever it is, keep it up because temper tantrum is only hurting the Republican Party, and that is something I will 100% always support.
