8:25Now PlayingMany of us can spend hours and hours on our phones scrolling through social media, yet we struggle to spend even 15 minutes reading our Bibles or praying. In this video I give you a challenge at three different levels of spending more time in your quiet time than on screen time. The first level of the challenge is to spend more time in your quiet time than you do reading/watching the news. In this time, it's easy to be filled with anxiety over watching the news, and taking on this challenge will really help you find peace. The second level of the challenge is to spend more time in your quiet time than reading/watching the news and social media combined. Surely we can all agree that reading the Bible is more productive than scrolling through Instagram, yet we spend much more time on social media than reading the Bible/doing our quiet time. This might be challenging, but I think you'll really enjoy it. The final level of the challenge is the most difficult, and that is to spend more time in your quiet time than all of your screen time. If you need to make exception for work/school, go ahead, but the point is to really pay attention to how we're spending our time during quarantine and make adjustments. Don't waste your time that you have during quarantine. Use this time of quarantine to grow in your faith and deepen your relationship with God. You'll be glad you did it.
About me:
Hey! My name is Austin, and I'm a 21 year old guy with a passion for people. I'm the former Digital Marketing and Video Production Coordinator at a large, evangelical church in Frederick, MD, and I'm currently a student at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL.
