7:30Now PlayingAs Churches and Christians in general adapt to life in quarantine and the world of online church, many ministries are innovating in exciting ways, yet most people are neglecting one of the biggest opportunities for ministry growth and personal growth in this season. You see, while we work ourselves into the ground making online church happen and trying to make the most out of this season, many people are missing the blessing in disguise during COVID-19: the opportunity to grow deep roots, to seek personal time with God, and focus on our faith. The truth is many of us have fallen more in love with ministry than God himself. We're obsessed with doing things for God, but we neglect spending intentional time with God. This is a dangerous trend and inevitably leads toward ministry burnout and burnout in our faith. During coronavirus quarantine, the opportunity we all should be taking advantage of is sitting at the feet of Jesus and deepening our love for him. This is what will bring real results and real growth. We must be willing to do the deep, personal work rather than seeking fast results in our faith and ministry. This is the way of slow, but significant growth. In this video we talk about all these things, and then we filter them through the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10 where we see that sometimes only one thing is necessary: sitting at the feet of Jesus and listening.
