17:35Now PlayingIn this week's episode of Life in the Word we're exploring the fascinating and puzzling chapter of Philippians 2. In our study we'll cover Paul's vision for unity in the Church and how he links that to humility, we'll talk about the much debated "Kenosis passage" which is a pre-Pauline hymn from the early church talking about Jesus emptying himself and not considering equality with God something to be grasped, and finally we'll explore how our work and God's work go together in salvation. It's a lot of ground to cover, but I hope you find it all both accessible and actionable. It's a wonderful chapter, so let's dive in!
About Life in the Word:
Life in the Word is a weekly Bible Study where we go through one chapter at a time of a book of the Bible. The goal is that it would be a place where your love for the Bible grows, and that scholarly insights meet real world application. This isn't about using fancy words and sounding smart, it's about the beautiful simplicity of opening up the Bible and learning what we can from it. Stay tuned as new episodes drop every Thursday.
