12:49Now PlayingLast week we left the book of Habakkuk on a cliff-hanger. Habakkuk cried out to God over injustice, and then God responded in a way that he didn't expect. God told him that he was going to raise up the Chaldeans to strike Jerusalem. Not exactly the deliverance Habakkuk was hoping for. Habakkuk protests to God that this is unfair, and we finished last week waiting for the response.
In this week's video we explore God's response to Habakkuk in chapter 2, and we find out that God is well aware of the Babylonian's sins, and he assures Habakkuk that this won't go unpunished and that He is in control. In this chapter we find important lessons on waiting on God, living by faith, and trusting in God's sovereignty.
About Life in the Word:
Life in the Word is a weekly Bible Study where we go through one chapter at a time of a book of the Bible. The goal is that it would be a place where your love for the Bible grows, and that scholarly insights meet real world application. This isn't about using fancy words and sounding smart, it's about the beautiful simplicity of opening up the Bible and learning what we can from it. Stay tuned as new episodes drop every Thursday.
