Brazil during World War II: from Neutral Ally to Active Participant

During the Second World War, Brazil played a significant but often overlooked role on the global stage. Domestically, there were tensions between the government and various social groups, particularly labor unions, over issues such as working conditions and wages. Furthermore, Brazil faced pressure from both the Axis and Allied powers, as well as internal political divisions, which complicated its position on the global stage.
