Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber looks back at some of the wildest and most controversial moments during the trial so far.

Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case. Fulton County prosecutors allege Young Thug, real name Jeffery Williams, is the leader of the YSL gang, short for “Young Slime Life.” Investigators claim the “criminal street gang” was responsible for violent gang activity across Atlanta and point to song lyrics, social media, clothing, photos, and body language as proof. Despite multiple efforts to get released from jail, Judge Ural Glanville denied Young Thug’s bond, and he will remain behind bars throughout his trial.
