Shock as Defendant Admits Murder, Violates Court Orders & Names New Suspect (Zachary Hughes Day 6)

Today was one of the most shocking days of trial I have ever witnessed, as defendant Zachary Hughes took the stand in the Rose Petal Murder Trial Day 6. Hughes admitted to murdering Christina Parcell but says he had to do it. While on the stand, Zack Hughes implicated John Mello, who was arrested today. He also repeatedly violated the court's orders about keeping out accusations against the victim.

It's a case so bizarre that Law and Crime calls it the "Twisted Secrets Murder Trial" and CourtTV names it the "Rose Petal Murder Trial." But the truth is far more twisted than you can even imagine, and even those titles don’t begin to capture the dark turns this case has taken.

Prosecutors say Zack Hughes had a relationship of some type with Christina's ex, John Mello. Mello and Christina Parcell had a 10-year-old daughter together and they were in a bitter dispute. Hughes says he did not commit the crime, and perhaps Parcell's boyfriend, who discovered the body, did.
