Fast & Furious Conclusion to the Rose Petal Murder Trial (Zachary Hughes)

Closing arguments occurred today and the jury is deliberating. We'll talk about what happened and discuss the verdict if it comes in. Defendant Zachary Hughes admits to murdering Christina Parcel but says he had to do it. While on the stand, he implicated John Mello, who has now been arrested.

It's a case so bizarre, Law and Crime calls it the "Twisted Secrets Murder Trial" and CourtTV names it the "Rose Petal Murder Trial." But the truth is far more twisted than you can even imagine, and even those titles don’t begin to capture the dark turns this case has taken. Tonight we will recap week 1 of the Zachary Hughes trial.

Prosecutors say Zach Hughes had a relationship of some type with Christina's ex, John Mello. Mello and Christina Parcell had a 10-year-old daughter together and they were in a bitter dispute. Hughes says he did not commit the crime, and perhaps Parcell's boyfriend, who discovered the body, did.
