If you visit your loved one in a nursing home, and you identify injuries, bruises, lesions on their skin, you need to contact an attorney, because it's a very good chance that someone is being neglected or abused. In addition, if you notice a psychological change in your loved one, they're depressed or they just don't want to interact with you anymore, these are signs and symptoms of someone that is either experiencing neglect or abuse. Many times, elderly people don't want to talk about abuse or neglect, simply because they're ashamed about the fact that abuse or neglect is occurring.
