26:49Now PlayingFour doctors who serve in the legislature--Senator Scott Jensen (GOP-Chaska), Senator Matt Klein (DFL-Mendota Heights), Representative Kelly Morrison (DFL-Deephaven) and Representative Alice Mann (DFL-Lakeville) announced three proposals intended to curb the high cost of health care. The group appeared before the media Tuesday, February 18.
One proposal would create a Pharmacy Affordability Commission that would be charged with reviewing the justification of any dramatic price change in a prescription drug. Another proposal would offer tax credits for Minnesotans paying high health insurance premiums. The third proposal would require health insurance policies to cover a defined number of annual mental health visits.
