Question: I bought a property by Disha Direct in Alibaug. Nearly 20% work is still incomplete, but the developer is asking me to give him full payment since the final due date is coming. Should I pay this amount or should I wait for completion?
Answer: You have not given full information. If there is registered agreement, then there must be some clause or schedule or payment as per the stages of construction. You are bound by the terms of the agreement and are supposed to pay the instalment as per the stage of constructions. I have not gone through the agreement terms however, asking for full payment only at stage of 20% construction work, is not proper and you can ask the developer to firstly complete the work and then ask the money.
