3:13Now PlayingThe Chairman of the Railway board in his press conference said only 71 of the 3,840 Shramik Specials trains operated till May 28 had been diverted due to congestion on route to destinations in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. He further said that around 80 per cent of the Shramik special went to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The Chairman said the railways has given out 85 lakh meals and 1.25 crore bottled water to passengers on Shramik specials ever since the services began. The Indian Railways today urged persons with co-morbidities, pregnant women, children below the age of 10 years and senior citizens should avoid travel by rail.
