3:33Now PlayingTamil Nadu government has clarified on the latest Chennai civic body order on home isolation for those to undergo COVID-19 test. The newly-appointed state health minister Mr. Radhakrishnan has said that the order was well-intentioned but it was incorrectly interpreted. He also mentions that the idea behind the order was to prevent the spread of Coronavirus until the test results arrive. He mentions that now it takes around 24 hours to know the results and by that time, many positive tested people can become contacted with the general public, bringing the rate of COVID-19 patients to increase. It is better if they stay at home and quarantine themselves while waiting for their results. Once it is negative, those who are living in containment areas and those living in poorer sections are given possible home quarantine measures.
