The minister gave a breakdown of the hospitals where these beds are being added stating that they will be spread across the city. The local administration has come under fire recently for a reported shortage as the COVID-19 crisis deepens, overwhelming the healthcare infrastructure. Maharashtra continues to be India's worst affected state by the pandemic.
