Following the incident, they were shifted to Tripura Vasani, a backward hall in the city. Reportedly, no labourer was severely injured or hurt in the collapse. The unfortunate incident brings to light the plight of India's migrants who are living in substandard facilities due to the nationwide lockdown. The shelter was housing many vulnerable women and children. They were shifted after the arrival of the police and activists to the site to evacuate them from the hazardous condition especially amid the heavy rain.
