2:26Now PlayingThe Tamil Nadu government has decided to ban the inter-district movement of people and buses deployed for public transport till June 30. The decision has been made by the government as cases of Coronavirus surge in the city and the authorities find it difficult to effectively do contact tracing to find people who have come in contact with COVID positive patients. The move will now restrict buses to only the district of their origin. Any movement between districts will now be allowed only to passengers with a valid e-pass which is to be issued only in three circumstances, firstly an unfortunate death in the family, secondly for a wedding ceremony and finally in the case of a medical emergency.
