3:46Now PlayingDevesh Kumar who used to once teach Science in a Government school in Delhi has now opened a shop of puncture and bicycle repair in Ghaziabad as lockdown his contract was not renewed due to the Coronavirus lockdown. He lives with his wife and six-year-old son. Till May he was asked to teach the students by online classes. He taught students in the hope that his contract will be renewed but it never happened. However, his contract was ended the month of March.
Getting no help from anywhere, he borrowed money from his relatives and bought some tools of cycle repair and opened the shop. Now his only source of income is the money which he earns from this shop.
Delhi has around 20,000 guest teachers and they get paid between ₹ 1400 to ₹ 1000 per day. The contract gets renew every year.
