4:36Now PlayingThe Mumbai Police has prohibited the movement of people beyond 2 kilometers from their residence for any reason except essential services, work and medical emergencies. The Mumbai Police has begun seizing vehicles of those in violation of the rule, with 6,800 being subjected to the rule so far. Many travelling on day 1 of the new rule were caught unaware as the norms were imposed last night. Masks have been made mandatory for all subject to not exceptions. The tightening of norms by the cops comes after cases of COVID-19 surged in the city, along with rampant violation of lockdown norms. People have further been cautioned to limit movement for essential services to the prescribed distance of 2 kilometers from their home.
