Who is shielding gangster Vikas Dubey?
Journalist Piyush Rai says "The autopsy reports of DSP Devendra Mishra had signs of ‘Revenge Killing’. It never looked like it was an encounter. Vikas Dubey sent out the message that he wasn’t just prepared but also well protected."
However, Former Commissioner of Police TR Kakkar says "This definitely is a blot on the efficient functioning of the UP Police and the sooner they correct it the better it will be."
Manish Shukla from BJP says “The way #VikasDubey used to openly talk about his reach, does this not prove that he had political and police contacts?”
Whereas, Ghanshyam Tiwari from Samajwadi Party says "Despite 150 cases linked to Vikas Dubey, he is not named as one of the Top 10 criminals in his district. His name will not be found in any major file of the Uttar Pradesh Govt. He was supported end-to-end by the BJP establishment."
Former DGP of UP M. C. Dwivedi says "The way Vikas Dubey has risen in the crime world is very fast, and sufficient action has not been taken by any Govt so far."
Journalist Piyush Rai says "Criminals like Vikas Dubey have cordial relations with the police. Cordial cuts both ways, the gangster would be obliging the department and the department would be repaying the favor in some or the other way."
