3:31Now PlayingAtleast 50-100 people lined up for 6-8 hours only to find later that antiviral drugs are out of stock at Distributor store. Mirror now visited SK Pharmaceutical, a distributor store in Ghatkopar selling two antiviral drugs Remdesivir and Tocilizumab. These drugs are used on an experimental basis for the treatment of moderate to critical Covid patients.
Mirror now found that people have lined up since Friday morning to buy these drugs from the store who had said they have stock available. Relatives of patients then started lining up from not only areas within Mumbai but outside of Mumbai as well like Mira Road, Kalyan, Navi Mumbai etc. Few people have also come from Vashi who’s patient is in Gujarat but did not get the drugs there.
The store had only 13 vials left of each and then said stock is over. Store informed people they don’t know when the next stock will come in and they will have to go back home. People are annoyed and agitated as they say, the store should inform is stock is limited. Now the store has informed them that their details will be taken and will be called again. People say this was the need of the hour as their relatives are very critical and private hospitals don’t have the stock.
