Sachin Pilot and his team had challenged the Rajasthan speaker's disqualification notice to rebel MLA's for skipping 2 party meetings. HC restrained the speaker from taking any action against the rebel MLA's.
Minakshi says this situation questions the speaker's powers and that the Court cannot direct him to act in a certain way. The SC has retained this matter to explore the broader spectrum of the speaker's powers and 10th Schedule. Since the court has not settled on this issue, the breather for Sachin pilot and his team continues. Rajasthan High Court allows Sachin Pilot and team's plea to make Centre, a party to the proceedings in front of the High Court.
