Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot while addressing the media outside Fairmont Hotel where the legislators supporting him are camping, said that he had met Governor Kalraj Mishra on 23 July and had requested the Governor to convene an Assembly session to discuss several issues, including post lockdown situation.
“We had hoped he would agree, but he is yet to reply on my request,” Gehlot said, adding that “We believe that due to some pressure from the 'top; the Governor is not giving permission to convene an Assembly session”.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also said that he and his party MLAs will go to Raj Bhawan and request the Governor to allow an assembly session from July 27.
