3:25Now PlayingMumbai: Coronavirus cases repeatedly increase in Kalyan Dombivali area in the past one week. Civic body chief spoke to Mirror now last week, where he promised within a week the medical facilities would improve by setting up 300 beds and 1100 oxygen beds, but in vain. Beds in government facility have not been increased whereas 5% of beds have increased in private hospitals. Lack of ventilators also seen in the government facility.
Disha says promises made by municipal chief are not being lived up to. 700 cases have increased and 7 deaths have been seen in this area. The health infrastructure has not been improved. Beds promised have only seen a 5-10% increase. Only 2 government hospitals and 3 private hospitals in that area which are already working on full capacity. The KDMC has said it has set up new healthcare centres but they are not yet operational.
