The hotel was hired by corporate officials as a centre for treating COVID patients. 7 people have lost their lives in this mishap which occurred early in the morning.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has expressed his grief and calls for a probe in this matter. An initial probe reveals a short circuit was the reason for the fire. 30 people have been rescued along with the staff. Sowmith Yakkati says two fire tenders reached the spot and rescued people as the structure was really huge. Paramedical staff have succumbed to injuries. Hospital cheated govt buy saying only 5 COVID positive patients were there.
