Kollywood superstar Vijay has a huge fan base among the youth in Tamilnadu and has been in the centre of controversy for allegedly criticising 2G scam, corporatisation, GST, freebie schemes provided by parties to lure voters in his movie and rubbed cold shoulders with ruling AIADMK and BJP several times.
However, Vijay had stayed mum over starting a party even though he too has given several hints similar to Rajinikanth about political aspirations.
In the meantime, Vijay fans are turning impatient and coming out with creative ways to express it.
In mid-August was when posters of Vijay as dressed up as MGR began to appear in Madurai and his wife Sangeetha's face on former CM Jayalalitha attire.
On 4th September, Kancheepuram residents woke up to another shock where Vijay was portrayed as MGR in Aayirathil Oruvan, Pavarotti and Naadodi with captions comparing him to the reincarnation of MGR.
