41:31Now PlayingA special CBI court in Lucknow is all set to deliver its verdict on the Babri Masjid, which was demolished nearly 28 years back. Mirror Now explains you the Babi Masjid demolition case and the chronology in which case developed.
There are 32 accused in the case and most of them are influential leaders from the BJP. The accused list includes LK Advani, Professor Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Katiyar, Sakshi Maharaj and many more. All the accused members were asked to be present at the hearing in the special court, however, few of them are exempted due to poor health conditions.
Debate panel also shares their viewpoint on the case. While Senior Journalist Sharat Pradhan says ‘The way this case has been carried out for almost three decades only reflects the lethargic manner in which we carry out our judicial system’, Senior Journalist Neerja Chowdhury says, ‘2/3rd of India does not have the memory of this case which has changed India & its politics forever. BJP would not be where it today, but for this demolition & the Ram movement’
