The police had arrested a 17-year old boy for allegedly committing the crime. The minor girl was found dead at her home. She was raped and then murdered. An electric wire was shoved in her nose and mouth.
The rape victim was upset about the lapses in the probe. The Sessions Court acquitted the accused citing the lawyer could not prove the charges levelled against the boy. Several questions have been raised over criminal justice in the State.
