3:21Now PlayingThe CPI (M) Government of Kerala is mulling to block CBI’s consent in the State. This suggestion cropped up in the recent meeting with the State Secretariat. The suggestion comes in amidst the ongoing investigation of Kerala Gold Smuggling Case.
While speaking on this topic, the State Law Minister, A K Balan stated that the CPI (M) State Secretariat has discussed this matter. Party Head Rahul Gandhi is also mulling similar decisions. Even though the suggestion is officially out, the BJP has lashed out at CPI (M) for suggesting this move.
Earlier, the State of Maharashtra had taken a similar decision. Along with Maharashtra, other non-BJP ruled states have also opted out CBI’s consent.
