5:20Now PlayingThe Reserve Bank of India has capped withdrawal at 25K from Lakshmi Vilas Bank. This restriction was imposed on Tuesday and it will continue till December 16. The decision was taken considering the serious deteriorating condition of the bank's financial position. Earlier, a similar restriction was put on the PMC bank which caused a lot of panic in the public. However, the RBI has given assurance to the depositors of Lakshmi Vilas Bank. At present Mumbai police is posted outside the bank to prevent any mishap. Amalgamation with DBS bank is speculated in the near future which can be a big relief to the account holders.
