A recent surge was witnessed in the number of COVID-19 cases from at least five states, and the states immediately resorted to implementing stricter guidelines. Maharashtra and Kerala have recorded the highest number of active COVID cases, forcing the Maha government to impose weekend lockdowns in several parts. The Central government, on the other hand, decided to begin the second phase of the COVID vaccination drive and new SOPs have been brought into place. Union Health Ministry held a press briefing today and has also discussed the new features of the Co-Win 2.0 with the heads of the states. Along with this, the process for registering as a beneficiary and getting a slot has also been discussed by the Union Health Ministry.
Pricing has to be kept at the basic minimum. The capping of vaccine at Rs 250 at the Private hospitals is going to be a boon for the vaccine, says Dr. Om Shrivastav.
