5:34Now PlayingOn Saturday, a day after the Election Commission declared the dates for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the BJP and its alliance partner AIADMK started seat-sharing talks. In Tamil Nadu, the BJP is represented by a team led by BJP National General Secretary and Tamil Nadu in-charge CT Ravi, Union Minister of State Kishan Reddy, Minister of State VK Singh, and Tamil Nadu BJP chief L Murugan.
According to reports, the BJP has demanded 33 seats after the AIADMK initially offered 21. The talks are over, according to BJP leader L Murugan, and an agreement will be signed soon. The BJP expects to win 60 of the 60 seats it has defined as "winnable." Tamil Nadu will hold single-phase elections on April 6.
