TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee also confirmed that she will be contesting the Nandigram seat. Another TMC veteran will be contesting from there. In fact, TMC minister Sovandeb Chatterjee will be contesting from Bhowanipur.
Also, a list of 291 candidates has been announced by Mamata Banerjee and the three seats have been left to the allies to contest from North Bengal and the other regions.
She said that she is vacating from Bhowanipur and Chatterjee would be contesting from there. She further added that state finance minister Amit Mitra will not be there in the election due to his health issues.
