Amid a chaos, Bihar Government, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, had passed a special armed police bill. The opposition which is against the bill is continuing protests outside the State Assembly, abstaining from legislative duties. Countering the revolt CM Nitish Kumar has come down heavily on the protesting MLAs
The revolt against the special arms ordinance turned ugly as the opposition MLAs clashed with Bihar Police injuring several MLAs. Police, in order to disperse the protestors, had to resort to water cannons. FIRs have now been registered against RJD leaders Tejashwi Yadav, his brother Tej Pratap Yadav and several other leaders for leading a violent protest.
