2:16Now PlayingA shocking case of medical apathy surfaces in the Bidar district of Karnataka. Covid patients are seen sleeping outside the hospitals on the pavements and streets literally begging to get a bed for treatment. This took place after the hospital experienced a severe bed shortage, unable to accommodate the rush of people. The state has nearly recorded 22,000 cases while an acute infrastructural crunch is being witnessed by Karnataka. Around 7 districts are out of covid patient care beds and the state HM states that there’s just one big hospital in the Bidar district which also an institute of medical sciences. This comes in after the state government has already mandated that all hospitals have to reserve 50% beds for covid patients.
